The History
This corps is in Division 2. Blizzard "B" started in January 2001 as the "Moonraisers"
for FDCI season 11. In May, FDCI season 12, the "Moonraisers" name was changed to the "Blue Ash". The Blue Ash, had a good
season during FDCI 12, finishing the season off in 120th place. The corps again changed names to The Blizzard Cadets for FDCI
13. The age range for the "B" Corps is anywhere from 13 to 18. The Blizzard Cadets went inactive in 2004
with the announcement that the FDCI circuit would no longer be running. The Blizzard Cadets came out of inactivity when
the corps joined the DCPI circuit in April of 2010. The Blizzard Cadets are a 501 (c3) Non-Profit organization commited
to excellence in youth performing arts.
Membership Requirements
Young people wishing to audition for the Blizzard Cadets must meet the
following requirements to be eligable for membership in this corps:
1. Must be a student ages 13 to 18
2. Must be able to play a 2 minute solo plus all major scales and the
chromatic scale.
3. Must be highly disciplined
4. Must have a good attitude!
5. Must be able to meet the financial requirements for the corps
